Rural Alliance for the Arts and Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre present “Alice in Wonderland”. Local talent shines as youth ages 8 to 18 take to the stage in this classic children’s tale. Auditions for the RAA Community Dinner Show "Murder on the Rerun" will take place Sun, Aug 22, 4-6pm and Mon, Aug 23, 6-8pm, at Batesville High School Auditorium. Possible call backs Wed, Aug 25. Script available at Batesville Public Library for prospective actors to view. Those auditioning are to prepare a comic dialogue not more that 1 minute long. Rehearsals begin after Labor Day. The RAA annual social & meeting is held at the Batesville Memorial Library and is free and open to everyone - current members, perspective members and anyone interested in The Arts. There is entertainment, refreshments, awards given, board members elected, and a review of the past year. The new season of events is unveiled and those in attendance are given first chance to purchase tickets. This event is very informative and great fun. Don't miss it! Tuesday, Aug 24, 7:00 p.m.
MURDER ON THE RERUN

RAA Community Theater presents this hilarious murder/mystery as a fully catered dinner show at the newly refurbished Romweber Marketplace. Fri & Sat at 7pm (full dinner $25 RAA members/$30 non-members), Sun at 2pm (desserts & drinks, $15 RAA members/$20 non-members). Tickets go on sale Aug 24 at the Annual Social & Meeting.
JENNIE DEVOE IN CONCERT

RAA is proud to present this Indianapolis-based singer/songwriter who has preformed all over the country.
Jennie DeVoe performs soul, blues & R&B with wittiness, humor, charm and a smoked-filled voice that never fails to captivate the audience. Hill-crest Country Club opens its doors to the public for dinner seating 5-7 pm. DeVoe concert in the main dining room at 8pm. Snack menu and cash bar available all evening. The concert is for ages 16+. $10 RAA members/$12 non-members. Tickets go on sale at the Annual Social and Meeting on Aug 24.
